Sign Of The Times: Local Photographer Lainie Hiller Creates Signs To Support Essential Workers

Lainie Hiller is usually in the thick of the action. You’ll find her on the sidelines of Lumberjack events of all sorts, including the Orchestra concerts. She’s the one with the camera and the Australian accent. Lainie, despite living much of her life in that other

hemisphere, has immersed herself in all things Bemidji and as a photographer for Max Preps is a well known personality at Bemidji High School events. Lainie also has her own photography business and it is that business, Lainie Hiller Photography, she is using to show her support for the area’s essential workers of Covid-19.

Lainie has created signs for the community to show support for essential workers. Each sign has the message “Thanks To Essential Workers” on one side, and two options on the other side: One to thank education and school workers; and one saluting health care workers.

Signs are for sale and include the lawn spikes. She is charging $20 each with proceeds after expenses going to the United Way Emergency Fund.

The signs are available for purchase at Minnesota Nice Cafe, Dunn Brothers Coffee and Grimes Realty. In addition, Grimes Realty & Minnesota Nice have “Proud Of Our Senior” signs as well.
